Griffinclaw is currently running a Vampire: The Masquerade LARP entitled "Of Princes and Paupers" on the campus of UNC Charlotte. The current Griffinclaw storytellers of "Of Princes and Paupers" are Benjamin Burton, Adam McLaughlin, and Robert Shore.

Of Princes and Paupers is a Vampire: The Masquerade Live Action Role Playing game based in Charlotte North Carolina.

Set against the back drop of a recent Camarilla victory to reclaim the Queen City from the Sabbat the game centers around individual vampires attempts to make names for themselves in the emerging power struggle in the city.

The theme of the game is one of mistrust and shaky alliances. The mood is that of suspense as each emerging power structure in the city watches one another closely for signs of threat. Vampires make alliances and immediately begin preparing for the inevitable betrayal of their new allies. All the while outside forces such as marauding Lupines and mortal agencies such as the Society of Leopold throw their own agendas into the pot for unknown reasons. The final element is the beaten but not defeated Sabbat, who lick their wounds from the city outskirts and constanly scheme to take back what they believe to be their domain.

Vampire against vampire, clan against clan, Camarilla against Sabbat, and and each individual vampires own humanity versus the beast within. The prize is Charlotte itself, the second largest banking capital in the United States and one of the fastest growing mortal populations as well is a rich jewel indeed for anyone strong enough and clever enough to win this chapter of the great vampiric Jyhad.

This is the story of the Queen City and just what happens when things go bump in the night.
